My little Stud Muffin

Deacon has become quite the expert at immitating lately. He wants whatever we have and does whatever we do. He likes to sit and babble to himself with a book as though he is reading to himself. And he does not like it when we actually try to read the book to him. He wants to do it himself. He also gets very upset when we don't let him eat/drink what we have. So we've taken to emptying our soda cans into a glass and giving him the can. No, I don't actually let my kid drink soda (though I think James does when I'm not looking). But he does a pretty good job throwin em back. Also, these are some photos of him from church last week. Now, if I've got the camera out he like to strike a pose. He knows what's going on and that I'm focused on him. His hair is pretty stick-uppy so sometimes if I can't get it to lay flat I just stick it all up.

Deacon's weird disease.

A few weeks ago we brought Deacon home from daycare and found on him several small red bumps. We though for sure he had chicken pox. Until they started to grow. And morph. And we took him to a kidscare clinic and they said it was an allergic reaction. Turns out he's allergic to Amoxcicillin. I really have no idea how to spell that. Anyway. Here are some photos. It looks much worse than it was. Deacon didn't even seem to notice. Even when the ones close to his eyes made his eyes almost swollen shut.

Deacon's Christmas Present

I know I've mentioned that Deacon likes cars and trucks and things of that nature. My parents sent him a ramp with noises and cars and everything and he loves to play with it. Especially if we play too. So this is Deacon playing with his new toy. On a side note. I have been trying to upload this video for months, and without doing it on my home computer it was a pain to try to figure out how to shorten it into clips instead of the long video it was. Let's hope this works.

Christmas

We were extremely busy before Christmas and all during. We had a great time doing it all though. First off we had a ward party where the primary children dressed up as the nativity. At the last minute, we grabbed two of our nursery kids and one sunbeam to be our "sheep". They were hilarious, and totally stole the show, wandering all over the stage, hugging each other and picking up the "snow" making "snowballs" and throwing them at the audience. I can tell we will have a handful with our sunbeams in primary this year. Then, we had my sister and her family come in to town for the holidays, which was great to have some of my family around. It has become quite usual for me to suck at taking pictures, not sure why, I'm just in a rut, so I didn't get as many as I would have liked, but here's what I have.

Pictures with Santa

This place is genius. We had our family pictures taken with them about a year ago and this year they started doing pictures with Santa. Last year, Deacon screamed in Santa's face, and what little kid wouldn't? So this place actually has THE PARENTS dress up as Santa so as to not freak out the kids! Isn't that seriously genius? Anyway here are a few of our pictures, I didn't include the best because I'm using it on our Christmas card this year so I want it to be a surprise.
