Spring Break and baby shower

My sister and niece came in town this week. My sister is considering moving her family out to Utah, which I would love, since my only family here is my aunt up in Ogden. Anyhoo, since I knew I would have family in town I decided it would be a good time for a baby shower as well. I know it's a little earlier than most people have showers, but I like to have someone there from my family! Thanks everyone who came and for all the great stuff for baby boy Patterson. 2 and a half long months left. My mom made the two quilts that I'm holding up. While my sister and niece were here, we toured temple square and checked out some things in the area. It was really nice to have them in town. The other pregnant lady in the picture is James' cousins wife, Kendree, who is TWO WEEKS AHEAD of me. Jeez I feel huge.

Anniversary Weekend

We love Logan and the Anniversary Inn up there. This is the third time we have stayed there, for both anniversaries and once for James' birthday. There are two in Salt Lake but when we go up to Logan it actually feels like we're getting out of town. And plus, the ones in Salt Lake are alot more ghetto. We stayed in the Blue Bayou suite the first night and in the Hacienda the second night. The hHacienda was my favorite. It was a great relaxing weekend and what more could you ask for for your anniversary? Why the picture of the shower you ask? This was THE BEST shower I have ever had in my life. If ever we build a house I am totally copying this shower. It was AWESOME.

The Bump

So I'm starting to show-people are starting to ask me if I'm pregnant or they'll find out that I am and say "Oh I didn't want to ask but I thought you were". The bishop's wife actually told me that I "used to have such a a nice flat tummy so you must be pregnant." Thanks, Sister Curtis. But I don't mind. It makes me feel like I'm actually pregnant. Not that I'm complaining about not having morning sickness or being over emotional. I'm completely un-blog savy and I can't figure out how to get text over or under a picture. So bear with me- maybe someone can explain it to me. Don't you just love the arrows in the first and second ultrasound pictures? No doubt it's a boy. I love the technology of an ultrasound-now they can zoom in and see details, in the fourth picture that's his heart beat down at the bottom. And in the last picture a profile-this kid did not want to hold still for this, the technician kept having to shake my belly to get him to roll over into this position-and then he would roll right back over. A glimpse of things to come.

The Patterson's

For the time being, I have decided to change the blog to more personal stuff, since that's been more of what we've been posting anyways. And this way anyone who cares can check in on us and see what we're up to. In case you missed it: we are expecting a baby Patterson in June of this year. We are super excited! We just had our second appointment today and we were hoping to find out the sex of the baby but I know it's still a little early and they didn't even do an ultrasound, just a sonogram. So we did hear the heartbeat again (this time I was able to refrain from giggling the entire time) and we could hear the baby moving around ALOT. But I will be having a full scale ultrasound done by a tech instead of my dr. like this one was.
SO we hope to find out what baby will be soon.

Christmas 2009

This year we were able to go to VA for Christmas with my side of the family. It was exhausting but fun. I am no longer used to the time change. I slept for twelve hours by the time we made it back to UT. We had some impromptu family pictures since who knows when we will all be able to get together again, but they turned out pretty cute I must say for being on a gorilla pod and with no prep time.
