The binky trick

Deacon talks

Deacon has really been babbling lately. His favorite sounds are very high-pitched squeals. Which is great for sacrament meeting. James recorded him talking on his phone and when we play it back to him, he likes to talk to himself. I'm not sure what he thinks is going on, but maybe he'll be willing to talk to people on the phone soon?

Playing with mommy's hair and smacking daddy's head

Deacon loves to play with my hair and I don't mind it-i have a tough head AND I love when people play with my hair so it works out perfectly. Daddy's hair isn't as fun to play with but his head makes a cool sound when it's smacked :)

Deacon giggles

In going through the 57 videos that we had taken in the last few months, most of them were just of Deacon giggling. He giggles a lot. So here are a few of the cuter ones.

Deacon Loves the Camera

Our kid is a ham in front of the camera- video or still he'll stop whatever he's doing that we want to capture and smile for the camera.

Family Photos

I struggle with finding a professional portrait studio that does pictures anything like what my style is. I know lots of wonderful people who work out of their home but they have kids and some live farther away than I particularly love to drive. Anyhoo, found out about this small family friendly stylish photo studio and made an appointment right away. www.fotofly.com. They rocked. One flat price for an hour of shots and a cd with full copyright release. What more can you ask for? As usual Deacon is a ham in front of the camera, I have trained him well :) So here are some of my faves from todays shoot. We will definitly return in the future. Maybe next time it won't be on a day when James has been up for 24 hours straight...

8 months

Deacon informed me today that he is no longer going to cooperate with whatever shenanigans I see fit to subject him to. We had a good run of eight months and now he's out. So unless I want pictures of him crawling away to check out whats over there on the floor I can just turn that camera back off! Oh and note to self, iron that back drop first next time.
