Last weekend I was feeling a bit of cabin fever and really just needed to get out of the house. So we bundled Deacon up and went to take a walk around Wheeler Farm. The snow was old and melty, the birds were all out begging for a hand out and all Deacon wanted to do was eat his coat. It was nice to get out though, and Deacon wasn't at all fussy. I think he was quite interested in all of the animals, especially the birds, but his coat was just much more entertaining. He got quite tuckered out and fell asleep on the short two minute drive back to the house.
Deacon has recently started rolling over in his sleep and apparently prefers sleeping on his stomach. Well this was a completely new development this week and when I went in to get him from a nap and pulled him out of his crib he had some pretty crazy looking sleep lines. Notice the pacifier line all the way around his lips!
Well it's taken me awhile to get these uploaded. This is our first Christmas with a baby. I think it was more fun for James than anyone, he was so excited. I didn't take as many pictures because I was too into the whole video thing.
I'm not entirely sure why we have been encouraging our kid to start crawling already except that it's pretty entertaining. We certainly are not baby-proofed around here. But this is Deacon's latest achievement in going mobile. He has not repeated this since yesterday though we haven't really tried either!
So I'm still figuring out this whole video thing but in case this works here are some current videos of Deacon...I think I prefer still shots but this shows you his latest.
